Day 21: The Great Wall and Forbidden City

This day had been reserved solely for sightseeing. After breakfast we headed towards the Balading section of the great wall. If you’ve never been to the great wall, it truly is as amazing as everyone says. Just thinking about how it was built without any of the modern advances is astounding. We had been told that taking a left after the stairs was the easier section of the wall to climb, so the majority of the people went that way. The walkway was packed with people, which made getting through the narrower guardhouses somewhat tricky. Day 19: First Full Day in Shanghai

The better part of the second day in Shanghai was reserved for business visits to Sam’s Club and Thermo Fisher. Visiting Sam’s Club was actually pretty interesting since it is seen as a more upscale brand over there. For example the food supply is not inspected as much as it is here, so many Chinese consumers are wary about buying some local food items.
