Day 6: All The Touristy Things!

Feeling much less cranky after a good nights rest, we started the day with coffee and pastries from the Starbucks downstairs before embarking on our walk to the Space Needle. The weather was somewhat overcast when we arrived, but luckily all the clouds were above the level of the observation deck, so we still had some nice views. The wind was a little too nippy for extended periods of outdoor viewing, but we walked our way around the inside of the observatory, stopping to both admire the panoramic views and the exhibits displayed inside. After seeing all that we could, we took the elevator down and wandered through the gift store (where we both picked up some souvenirs) before making our way to the next stop just a short walk away. Japan Airlines has been flying a 787 into Boston from Tokyo for over two years, but I was unable to take one when flying back from Japan in 2012. I hoped that I would catch one on my next trip to Tokyo, since I’ve been wanting to go back from the second I took off from Narita to go home. However, my work travels are taking me to Singapore, and the best routing includes not just one, but two(!) trips on the 787!
